[JOURNEY OF SPECIALTIES OF VIETNAM REGIONAL COFFEE] – THE JOURNEY OF DISCOVERING SON LA
It would not be complete if the path of discovery – companionship – development of SHIN Coffee was without this majestic and unique land. With its characteristic altitude, Son La becomes the place where we expect to create Arabica coffee beans with the aroma of mountains and the strong flavor of the forest, true to its name – regional specialty coffee.
In such remote and rugged lands, coffee beans become more valuable than ever, not only as a regional beauty, but also as a way of life, as a “bread and butter” for the ethnic minorities here.
SHIN Coffee chose Son La as a stop for its journey of discovery, to experience and bring this specialty flavor to the “lowlands” and at the same time improve the lives of coffee farmers, increasing the value of Son La coffee beans in the future.
Son La’s strength is coffee, however, the process of growing and producing coffee locally is still “fragmented” and faces many difficulties and challenges such as: cultivation depends on natural conditions, the relationship between farmers and businesses, quality control is still limited, and there is no connection in developing raw material areas…
To overcome the difficulties of coffee farmers, we create trust, build a foundation, accompany them from the stage of selecting seeds, cultivating, planting, to the process of harvesting, processing and consuming products, committing to buy products at high prices. From there, the most delicious and ripe coffee beans are made on a voluntary basis, contributing to creating coffee products with the most consistent quality. It is a parallel process between growers and coffee makers, those values are creating a sustainable ecosystem every day and every hour on this majestic green land.
Today, Son La coffee is exploited and developed by SHIN into regional specialty coffee to bring to customers. It is a journey of effort with the desire to raise the level of coffee agricultural products in the world.
